STC B.V. is a full subsidiary of the STC-Group. The STC B.V. conducts commercial activities in the field of maritime professional training, consultancy and operational research. STC B.V. utilises state-of-the-art simulators and highly skilled staff.

STC-Group has establishments in The Netherlands, South Africa, Oman, Vietnam, Philippines and South Korea.

Simulator centre and simulator applications

The STC-Group owns a full mission simulator centre unique in the world, and develops customised simulator applications. The simulator complex comprises:

14 bridges; three engine rooms; vessel traffic services; cargo handling; dredging; port and offshore crane and straddle carrier; process plant; power plant and the unique Transport Chain Simulator®.

A DP, ECDIS and ROV simulator are also available at STC B.V.

Maritime operational and managerial training and education

STC B.V. has a worldwide reputation in high quality training and education for operational and managerial functions in the maritime, logistics and multi-modal transport sector.

The training is designed to broaden and accelerate an individual's attitude, skills and knowledge, placing that person in circumstances that will help sharpen skills and decision-making capabilities. All courses can be tailor made to customer's wishes.

Port development, marine operations, logistics management and associated HRD solutions

STC B.V. offers international services for port development, marine operations, logistics management and associated HRD solutions. The institute has an extensive team of subject matter experts and its high-end (simulator) research facilities. Utilising self developed models and databases R&D and training is conducted for i.e. port development, tow out & offshore mooring (FPSO) operations and vessel trial manoeuvres.

Offshore safety courses

STC-SAIO is also a full subsidiary of the STC-Group and provides a wide range of OPTIO, NOGEPA, and OLF approved offshore safety courses.

The offshore and maritime sector is subject to stringent safety regulations. Checks are consistently conducted to ensure that anyone going onboard is in possession of valid and correct certicate(s).

STC-SAIO B.V. complies with both Dutch (NOGEPA) and International (OPITO, OLF & NSOC-D and STCW) standards. Maritime offshore training provided by STC-SAIO B.V. is recognised anywhere in the world. Because of this recognition STC-SAIO B.V. is part of a select group of training organisations authorised to award certificates at this level.
