Richard Chambers GmbH - Saving in the Energy Industry

Richard Chambers' 'heaven sent' SPY, is used for finding compressed air leaks, it is able to find a good 50% more leaks than other devices due to its three times greater sensitivity. Without permanent background hissing it is able to cover the very small leaks. The 'Powerboss' and intelligent lighting also offer a wide range of savings in the energy industry.

Ultrasonic SPY

The 'Ultrasonic SPY' is a device which locates defects in all industrial systems.Three are working for NASA on the ISS, chosen after it was established that no other such device could offer more than one third of the sensitivity. This results in the SPY finding at least 50% more compressed-air leaks than any other device. The company counts as customers nearly every big and many medium-sized firm. With software added, the SPY offers much more information than vibration analysis, at a fraction of the cost - and is much simpler to operate. The SPY has been used in pre-series vehicle assembly, speeding up this and enabling the production tooling to be modified, if required, much sooner. It can also tell how many miles a vehicle has really been driven, not what the speedo says.

Intelligent lighting

With the death sentence for inefficient, hot-running lights in the EU, the series offers savings of up to 80% in warehouses, 60% in production areas with T5, and more again with the latest break-through in LED. Each light unit has its own 'intelligence,' which has been proven to offer significant savings compared to even the most efficient units working in groups... Installation is possible up to 26m and office and loading ramp lighting is also available. Light when and where needed, and then enough.



The 'Powerboss' adjusts every 100th of a second the current to constant-speed electric motors which work cyclically or under their rated performance, to supply only that required. (Like cruise control in cars). Also with soft-start, soft or braked stopping and several other programmable features such as idle-time limit, overload protection, dry pump, soft and current reverse stop, the investment of one third of that for a new 'high-efficiency' motor, saving 8-10%, can instead save 12 - 30%. The Powerboss is employed in mines on conveyor belts.
