The BrickMaster BM 850 is a multi-Si bricking unit running with Diamond Wire.

It guarantees the highest capacity and the lowest tolerances: maximum TTV of 0.5mm and parallelism of 0.25mm. It reaches worlds highest output of 200 bricks/day which is about 150% higher than slurry based systems (80 bricks/day). This leads to 60% reduced initial investment cost compared to slurry. The BM 850 is based on the market proven Meyer Burger wire saw technology and is equipped with diamond wire (DW) by Diamond Technologies Inc., USA, a member of Meyer Burger Technology Group. Moreover the BM 850 features a unique technical concept: The accessibility of the machine and the extractable cutting unit simplify the handling and serviceability, which leads to an increased machine uptime. There is a reduction of total cost of ownership (TCO) of about 25% due to elimination of slurry, 65% less downtime between cuts, 30% less pulleys and the very high output. The result is a higher yield as well as an easy to control and very clean process. The combination of slicing competence of Meyer Burger Ltd. and diamond wire competence of Diamond Technologies Inc. improves the process and performance on all levels. The first deliveries of BrickMasters were in December 2009 and will be followed by a quick ramp up through 2010.
