
Founded at the beginning of the 20th century in Belgium and France, Hamon was initially a cooling tower business. However after spreading its wings Hamon now has subsidiaries in all continents and specialises in providing cooling systems, process heat exchangers, air pollution control equipment and chimneys.
The end-user markets are predominantly the power industry, and the oil and gas industry but Hamon also serve other industries like the chemical, petrochemical, steel, glass and cement industries.
Cooling systems
Hamon specialises in field-erected cooling systems. The offered products are:
- Natural draft cooling towers
- (with or without flue gas injection
- Fan assisted natural draft
- Fan assisted natural draft with plume abatement
- Induced draft cooling towers (all structure types)
- Plume abated induced draft cooling tower s(so called hydrid or wet/dry)
Hamon's scope of supply spreads from engineering to decommissioning (including all types of services during CT lifetime). With more than 5,000 references worldwide, Hamon has met all types of situations and requirements.
Process heat exchangers
Hamon D'Hondt specialises in the design and manufacture of:
- Aircooled heat exchangers
- Tube bundles
- Aluminium finned tubes
- High frequency and studded welded finned tubes
HDH has developed significant technologies in the design and fabrication of high pressure equipment and components made with special materials.
Air pollution control
The air pollution control business unit of Hamon has its origin in the company Research-Cottrell. Research-Cottrell has decades of experience in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of APC systems such as:
- Dust Emission control: electrostatic precipitators and fabric filters
- Acid gas removal systems (dry/wet FGT – Wet FGD)
- NOx removal systems (SCR and SNCR)
