Dongan Electric produces single and three phase transformers, reactors, chokes, inductors and power supplies for many industries around the world.

Dongan Electric Manufacturing Company was established in New York State in 1909 and was moved to Detroit a few years later where we now maintain our headquarters. Our factory is located a few hours south of us in Ohio but we also have production facilities in China, India and Italy.

General purpose transformers, control transformers and k-factor transformers

We offer many standard voltage combinations for the US and worldwide applications in general purpose, drive isolation, K-factor and industrial control applications. We can produce these in open core and coil designs for use in industrial control panels or in enclosures whether they're NEMA 1, 3, 4, 4X or 12. We can also react quickly to customer dimensions or foot prints and even paint to match customer requirements.

CE transformers and reactors & inductors

We can do custom units in ten days and with our extensive library of designs, we can handle many special requests even quicker. Our 100 years of experience allows us to produce quality products quickly and efficiently. We can wind in aluminum or copper and provide any method of termination needed. Our offering includes bus bars, lead wires, finger safe terminals and barrier blocks.

Our products carry UL and CSA standards but we also have a full line of CE products licensed through TUV Rheinland.
