The New Generation Projects Global Listing Ed Eight 2008

The New Generation Projects Global Listing Ed Eight 2008 is a database of electric power generation projects proposed, under construction or awaiting commissioning throughout the world.

The new generation projects global listing database was started in 1998 and this is the eighth issue, released in mid 2008. It is continuously updated and currently records 2,619 generation projects worldwide in 121 countries. All projects have been identified with as much information as possible and more is added on a continuous basis. Since the last edition we have reviewed the data comprehensively and added more information about existing entries where available.

This list of projects has been compiled from many sources, including regulator and utility reports and websites, together with magazine and press reports. It is not a census of projects but a prospect list built up from many sources and the information about each project varies, from comprehensive data to a notification that a project is in the pipeline. The list is not projectible. Users who wish to project future generating capacity are referred to ABS Power Predictor.
