POWER-GEN Europe and Renewable Energy World Europe Announces Plenary Moderator and Panel

Published 10 April 2017

POWER-GEN Europe and Renewable Energy World Europe (PGE & REWE), the leading conference and exhibition for the international power and renewable industries, has confirmed LJ Rich, the TV presenter, social media influencer and technology blogger, as the moderator of the much-anticipated Joint Plenary debate.

“LJ is a vibrant host and an engaging presenter – her style will be sure to get the most out of our expert panel,” says Nigel Blackaby, POWER-GEN Europe Conference Director. “Our choice of moderator is demonstrative of our ongoing mission to maintain relevance by providing a thought-provoking agenda delivered by engaging speakers that challenge industry perceptions and – importantly – stimulate discussion.”

The theme of this year’s panel discussion is ‘delivering digitalisation: exploring the potential for the power sector.’ The panel boasts a diverse mix of industry experts and decision-makers, who will discuss a range of cutting-edge themes and topics reflecting the impact digital technology is having right across the power industry. The panellists include:

  • Zuo Zhi Zhao, Chief Technology Officer, Power & Gas, Siemens,
  • Matti Supponen, Policy Co-Ordinator, European Commission, DG Energy
  • Uli Huener, Head of Innovation Management, EnBW
  • Michael Rechsteiner, Vice President, Power Services, GE

L.J. Rich says “I’m really thrilled to be taking part in this year’s POWER-GEN Europe conference. We'll be debating a range of issues, including how industries such as the electricity sector can take advantage of digitalisation, increase efficiency, and connect more effectively with customers”

The free-to-attend session promises to be a highlight of this year’s conference agenda. It is taking place on the opening day of the show, Tuesday 27th June 2017, from 2pm (CET) in the Konrad Adenauer Saal, Congress Centre North.
