KDC Solar Nugen begins operations on rooftop solar facility in US

EBR Staff Writer Published 27 January 2012

KDC Solar Nugen has begun commercial operation of a PV roof-mounted solar system at the White Rose warehouse in New Jersey, US.

KDC Solar Nugen is a joint venture of KDC Solar with Nugen Capital Management.

The new system will allow White Rose to reduce its carbon footprint through the production of clean electricity.

The 4.88MW solar system will generate about 6.2 million hours of solar electricity every year.

Furthermore, it is designed to supply more than 60% of the electric power needs for the White Rose grocery warehouse site, which is owned by KTR Capital Partners.

Installation was done by Solar Power (SPI),that procured over 22,000 high quality panels manufactured by LDK Solar.

KDC Solar CEO Hal Kamine said the company is pleased to have worked with Nugen Capital in this joint venture.

This facility is the second largest roof-mounted PV solar facility and will supply clean, lower cost, long-term solar energy to White Rose.
