Fluor Corp wins EPC contract for 125MW solar plant in US
Fluor Corporation (Fluor Corp) has received a lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 125MW solar photovoltaic (PV) facility located in Arizona, US.
The contract was awarded by Arlington Valley Solar Energy II, LLC (AVSE II), a member of LS Power Group.
Fluor Corp also received a separate contract for ongoing operations and maintenance services for the plant, which has secured all permits.
Currently, engineering and procurement is under way at the facility which is expected to achieve full commercial operation by the end of 2013.
The AVSE II project is located on approximately 1,160 acres.
AVSE II has executed the power purchase agreement for the entire power output from the facility and has closed financing for the project.
