Ember, Skyworks team up to deliver ZigBee solutions

Ember Corp and Skyworks Solutions have unveiled new solutions for ZigBee applications targeting the energy management, home area network and industrial automation markets.

According to the companies, ZigBee is a wireless network standard that solves the needs of remote monitoring and control, and sensor-network applications.

Specific wireless applications range from lighting control, to door and window sensors, to appliance and temperature controllers.

Skyworks senior vice president of sales and marketing Liam Griffin said that given the momentum and demand for green technologies, enhanced security and energy conservation, the company is thrilled to be leveraging its scale and analog integration capabilities with Ember to serve multiple end markets.

Ember is a provider of low-power, wireless mesh networking technology, and Skyworks is a provider of analog and mixed signal semiconductors.
