Elster selects Apex CoVantage to install electric meters in Minnesota, US

EBR Staff Writer Published 18 November 2014

Elster Solutions has selected Apex CoVantage, a provider of smart grid technology and services, to install electric meters, gatekeepers and repeaters for a Minnesota-based electric utility.

Apex will utilize ProField integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) technology for mobile workforce management in order to carry out electric meter upgrades throughout the Midwest service territory.

The ProField technology provides real-time access to project data to managers and stakeholders as well as creates efficiency gains, ensuring that all work is completed within a projected time frame.

Apex sales vice president Stephen Green said: "We also have offices in close proximity to the customer, which will enable us to save time, minimize costs and respond quickly during the initial phase of this project."

Elster Solutions customer delivery director DeAnne Edwards said: "Elster meters have a reputation for being best in class, and we look for similar attributes in the partners with whom we choose to engage.

"We are confident that Apex shares in our project's mission and will approach each related task with unparalleled professionalism and expertise."
