COSL Wins Contract From ConocoPhillips For PL 19-3 Development, Offshore China
China Oilfield Services Ltd (COSL) has won a contract from ConocoPhillips to support the continuing production at Bohai Bay Penglai (PL) 19-3 development offshore China. The lump-sum contract will cover drilling and well services for PL19-3 platforms, according to a COSL spokesman. The production facilities at PL19-3 comprises of five wellhead platforms, a central production facility and the Chinese floating production, storage offloading unit, Hai Yang Shi You 117.
In May 2009, the second phase development of PL19-3 was brought into production. This was following to the start-up of the 190,000 barrel per day FPSO.
