CEZ acquires 96% of Czech regional power supplier
CEZ has completed the contract to acquire a 39.04 % share in north Bohemian regional supplier Severoceska Energetika from Segfield Investments in accordance with the option contract concluded in September 2005.
The transaction will be settled within next few days. Currently CEZ owns the majority share representing 57.1 % in Severoceska Energetika. The purchase of the 39.04% stake will increase its share in the company to 96.14%. The company said in a statement to the press that it would now fulfill the prerequisites for claiming the right of purchase of participant stocks of Severoceska Energetika, enabling it to fully purchase the firm.
